I'm not going to lie. St. Patty's Day is just not my thang. I've always been the girl who walks into the classroom/office/gym/wherever and people start exclaiming "You're not wearing any green! We're going to pinch you!" Then I try to come back with some sort of witty remark that falls flat and I have to try to come up with something else because I don't want those weirdos pinching me. I end up saying something like "I am wearing green, though. It's just on my underwear and I'm not going to show you my underwear so I guess we'll have to leave it at that.Suckas!"
My knowledge of Irish food has been limited to Corned Beef (YUCK!)and Cabbage, Irish Car Bombs, Guiness Beer, and Lucky Charms, so I'm not even going to pretend that I'm an expert on Irish cuisine and present to you and array of Irish classics gone vegan. I do understand, however, that green food and beverages are popular on this holiday and I do know the color green when I see it. Here is a selection of green and/or St. Patty's themed food that I found whileon Pinterest scouring the internet, as well as a few green recipes of my own.

Awesome round-up of recipes!!! 🙂 I used to not be one to celebrate St.Patty's Day - but since I met Jesse 5 years ago on St.Patty's Day - it's become one of my favourite holidays 🙂

That's so awesome that you guys met on St. Patty's Day! At least you'll never forget! Chris and I cannot remember the day we met or even when our first date was! We know we met sometime in September and our first date was at the beginning of October, but that's all we know. 🙂
P.S. Happy Anniversary too, BTW! 🙂

Thank you so much for including my recipe in your round up! I didn't have anything planned for St. Patrick's day this year, but I see there are at least many recipes to celebrate... I had better start planning so the date doesn't pass me by!

Thanks, Richa! I once was a designated driver for my friends on St. Patty's Day- let's just say I ended up with my backseat being rather green. Not cool at all. 😉

I've never been that into St. Patrick's Day either. It's one that just kind of passes me by. I had a friend who for many years went crazy over St. Patrick's Day. Her family was Irish, and she'd always tell this story about how their last name used to be O'Gogerty, and then over time they'd switched their family name to Gogerty. She'd wear Kiss Me, I'm Irish t-shirts, buttons, the whole shebang... Then she found out that actually the whole O'Gogerty story was just a family legend. They weren't Irish at all, and the t-shirts got taken to the Goodwill. I think of her every St. Patrick's Day. Maybe this year I should treat her to colcannon for old time's sake. 😉

What a crazy story! I don't even know how I'd react in such a situation! I think some colcannon is definitely in order, though. 🙂

I want all the food in this post. Can you believe Cara at Fork and Beans? Nuts that she makes such cute stuff! I for one love St. Patrick's but it's mostly because my kids are really, really into it. 😉

Yum, yum, yum! All of the recipes you posted look amazing. You've included several of my favorite bloggers so I know the food will all taste spectacular as well.
My husband is Irish so we do celebrate, plus the kids really like it.

Awesome round up! I have never been one to wear certain colors for a holiday....I usually forget it is the actual holiday (I am not really the most awake person in the morning until about 10am) until I arrive to the office and everyone pretty much coordinated outfits except me!
