Avoid at all costs if you don't want to be ripped off and be treated like rubbish.this has to be the worst vet I've ever encountered.someone needs to report them.very greedy.

I'm absolutely discussed the way they have treated my sister in law and her 16week old staff who was on death door when we took him in. Now thank to them for leaving him for days not knowing what was up with his has now passed away. They wouldn't help a dying pup without upfront payment discusting they would rather watch the pup die in front of them than treat him. It cost £300 for a dead dog . They took money after money knowing what they was doing wasn't helping the pup. It took them 2 days to decide to do a parvo test. Most painful death I have ever seen and all they wanted was money. Wasn't even aloud to touch him when put to sleep and was led on newspaper not even a blanket . I'm truely discusted and wouldn't recommend to any one. Any human being would of helped the dog regardless of money. If they would of treated him first instead of thinking of money he may of had a chance of living. They even sent him home on a drip knowing there was another dog at home and his lungs was full of fluid! Read Less

Hello all,Why am I writing this?I have a real problem with dealing with vets. I put it akin to dealing with a BMW or Audi dealership. They just want cash....at least that is just how it feels.I rang about 5 vets in the hour just checking prices of consultation and a few bits and bobs, but I rang back Alpha because they were honest on the phone. What I mean by that was because they were happy to offer advice (and I spoke to the vet directly instead of a receptionist) which seemed 100% based on the welfare of the pooch in question instead of just trying to charge me for a service.Ok so my situation so you can understand. My dog has started having dizzy spells. He'll be walking and will stutter for a moment and be unsteady on his feet. I won't go into what it could be but in talking with the vet, she was asking why's, wherefores and she said if you can take video, come down with it and lets have a look. She gave me some theories on the phone, and the same was the case when I came in the same day. I left with some suggestions of monitor him, but if it doesn't affect his wellbeing, don't rush into investigating as it looked and sounded more like miniature fits. She was honest saying that spending the money on blood work would most likely produce no definitive results unless he did have a problem with organs, more unlikely. Forget if it was right or wrong, she was just honest and wasn't money driven which is what I despise with any business, so if it comes to spending money on bloods, so be it, but I'll be doing it with Maria at Alpha because of her caring service. Many thanksAndrew Read Less

I can't fault the vets at Alpha. They looked after my very poorly dog last year - 1st class service given by all staff. We now have 3 Chihuahua's, one of whom was saved by Alpha. Poor little thing was extremely poorly. Alpha took him in for the day, carried him around with them, all day! This in conjunction with an emergency out of hours vet from Lytham saved his life. I was told if we hadn't have spotted his symptoms he would have died within 2 hours :( They saved him and for that I am extremely grateful and always will be.All the staff are extremely friendly. I for one would trust them 100% to do a first class job. Read Less

Without their quick action our 6 month-old cat would be dead now. I can't thank them enough.

I wouldn't dare use these again.I took my rat in the first time, the vet was unsure what she was doing and just gave him some antibiotics and told me to hope for the best, the day after giving it him he passed away.Next time I went in with my baby ferret, the vet again was unsure what she was doing, gave a 9 week old ferret a steroid injection and antibiotics, a day later we found her passed away in her cage.I wouldn't go to them.
